Battery Banks

Every floor in the building will have 2 battery banks for reserve and conditioned power. With this design, the floor will always have electricity without any power outages affecting the residence. Even if power was to cut for 3 seconds, it could damage expensive items such as desktop PCs, printers, and other electronics. Also, appliances can also be damage. The same will be for any surges, spikes, or other electrical hazards.

The way it would work is the solar panels feeds electricity to the battery banks. Once the banks are filled, the remaining electricity will be sent to the grid. This will give me a credit on my bill. If I give more than I take, then I will be given a credit instead of a bill. If there is a need to take from the grid, this electricity will go to the battery bank. This will allow the battery bank to provide the electricity. This electricity will be conditioned to not have surges, and spikes. And since the bank is the provider of the electricity, there will be no power outage – even when there is a grid failure. And during the day, the battery bank will get filled up again – therefore repeating the cycle all over again. Since the electricity is not included with the business’s rent, they will not benefit from the solar panels, and will have to fill their battery banks by using the grid.
