Simply put, there will be no gas line. Anything gas can do, electric can do more efficiently. There is likely a gas line that runs to the building. That would be terminated and capped so there is no gas service. The reason for no gas is gas is a finite resource, and the price of gas will never go down. This will become a waste of money especially when electric will do so much better.
